A blustery Tuesday

Despite an earlier forecast for sun, Tuesday was overcast, blustery and cool. Instead of driving to Killarney National Park, with no sun we decided to hang out at the cottage and Ardgroom. The kids drove over Healy Pass and over to Castletownbere.
We parked at Harrington's store in Ardgroom, right behind a van labeled Fresh Fish. The van owner came out of the cab, opened the back doors slightly, took out a bag and gave it to a lady that walked up. So when we got out Diana asked him if he sold fish and he said yes! He had fresh salmon so we bought enough for tonight's meal! Adding in the potatoes and cabbage that we already had, Diana whipped up colcannon mash! What a meal that made!

A late evening photo from Monday with the wonderful purple that twilight has.

Sunrise Tuesday lit up the sky.

A cool wind had the cows lying down and the Magpie flying between them.

The wind was stiff enough that the Hooded Crows flying into it went quite slowly at times, perfect for catching a photo..

The little robin fluffed up against the coolness.

With the sunny and mostly dry weather this week, farmers are cutting their fields and rotating the grass to dry it out prior to baling.

We did have a bit of sun later in the day..
