Another fun walk with Molly..

We went back to our spot west of the airport and walked a rambling path.  A coyote was watching us - it ran a little ways away and then stayed and yipped at us for quite a while.  Molly looked at it and decided not to go play with it - good decision!
We drove down towards SaltAir as we left and there was a large antelope out browsing in the area, a place I've never seen wildlife before! All this along with a long billed curlew that was out by the coyote and a Cinnamon Teal on our way in!
A great day!

Masked cuties!

We're being overrun with these masked cuties as they have discovered the drippings from the bird feeders and love to eat what's on the ground. And no, the cats are not bothering them at all.

Backyard Fun!

It quit raining for a while and the sun visited us and so did a few birds. Here's some of the fun today!

Male and female Downy Woodpeckers

Mourning dove sunbathing.

Electrified lawn chairs

Nest of Starling!

Wren - it teases the cats!

Good Morning!

The Northern Flicker continues to enjoy the 'butter' that we put out, notice the messy beak! While always a pleasure to see them, neighbors down the way had to repair a hole in their wall that a flicker had made!

With the almost continual rainfall here in the 'desert' lately, my mind turns to sunshine and trees and paths to walk.....

Look around and life will give you a photograph!

Here's some backyard and desert images that we've gotten over the last few days - in between raindrops!

Female quail inspecting my paint job.

Antelope Island from the south.

Killdeer strutting across the mud.

Bewick's wren in a neighbor's dead tree.

I've been photographing this tulip ever since it burst out of the bud. Yesterday the stars aligned and I got the photo that I had been seeing in my head!

Spending time with Molly...

We went out west of the airport again and had another fun time - not so much running this time but she loves to jump.  Here's a few shots from the walk...

Gadwals gadding around..

Avocets posing beautifully.

Horned Lark is back.

Love the shapes in the desert.

Molly loves to jump!

Little green beings coming out of the mud.

Her Highness!

Memories from Teasdale...

A dry pool area where Murphy had a lot of swimming time. Molly would have also but no water.

Cold and sunny - Rabbit brush.

Key West memories

Looking back through our trip to Key West and saw these - the butterfly center is incredible. The roosters are everywhere!

Last Torrey shots

Tuesday was a bright and beautiful day - and cold and windy. Molly and I got only partway up the road before we got too cold and turned back.
But from inside the cabin the sun was beautifying grasses and a ride later that morning found a Golden Eagle soaring over the red rock just off River Road.

Morning shots in Torrey

The day started cool and breezy and has now progressed to quiet and snowing lightly. There was sun this morning so I got some sunny shots off with Molly!

Enjoying Red Rock Country in Torrey.

Diana, Molly and I are enjoying the peacefulness of red rock country in Torrey for a couple of days. Staying at Pine Shadows Cabins in Teasdale, our favorite place to stay. Molly love running around, chasing cottontail rabbits. She -so far- hasn't spied any jackrabbits although they have seen her!
NW wind makes it cooler with occasional rain showers but - as you might expect - this also makes for a wonderful sky and background to the sun on the rocks.
Here's a couple of photos from the afternoon.
