Moon over Sanibel

The full moon  occurred while we were in Sanibel and I was able to get a couple of photos of it that I liked..

A wisp of clouds - looked to me like the Guiness Harp - hung out with us for a while.

Refuge Wednesday

A chilly morning but sunny...quite a few birders along with a few hunters. Harriers flying, a couple of Kestrels, GBH's, and Pied Bill Grebes. Great to be back out there.

Morning sunrise time

A relaxing morning - watched the sunrise, an osprey hunting, and a little girl run into the water!

The little girl in pink is a Cancer and she runs into the water every time she comes on the beach!

Morning hunter - cruising the beachfront looking for food in the early morning.

Sunrise...

Sunset

We ate at our favorite restaurant last night, The Mad Hatter. Arrived just in time to see the last of the sunset, then off to the luscious food.
Here's a couple of the sunset.

Day of the dolphins

We cruised the bay today with a young captain that has lived here all his life and spent most of it on the water. We began looking for manatees and while we saw some indication of them, we did not see any in person. But dolphins were a different story.
As we found a couple, more found us. Lots of activity and a great day.
Here's some of the action photos I managed..

Sanibel Day 3

More refuge today - I asked one guy if there was anything good down a trail and he replied "Mosquitos"! Not good. Nosciums were out as there was no breeze. You don't stay long when the bugs are biting!
But the birds were wonderful..
