 I hadn't been to the zoo for quite a while so took Randy up on his offer to go. A beautiful day, cool morning, a few toddlers for the leopard to drool over, and the monstrous and beautiful Polar Bear.

Refuge Friday

 Not a lot of activity yesterday, but there were several Harriers around. Hope that is an indication of more raptors showing up.

Lots of white pelicans. Quite a few Snowy Egrets. A couple of herons - one night heron and one a great blue. Found a place where something - probably raccoons - had been catching and eating carp. Frogs camouflaged in green stuff. The recent rain brought out quite a few mosquitos. Food for the swallows and flycatchers.
