Walking the irrigation ditch

Over next to Horsehoe Springs there is a ditch full of water for irrigation. Murph and I wandered down the ditch, first on the side of the ditch and then, after we had gotten our feet muddy enough we walked down the middle of the ditch in the water. Something about standing in lukewarm water flowing around your ankles in the middle of the desert that washes away all cares and thoughts of other humanity! You have to try it sometime.
Meanwhile the long-billed Curlews were letting us know that our presence was not welcome so we meandered away from them. A few dragonflies and a blackbird rounded out the photo ops for the day. With not a cloud in the sky there is not much use in taking a landscape photo (in my mind).
