Sanibel Day 4

The day started with a beautiful but unspectacular sunrise and ended with a bit more spectacular sunset - still waiting for the great ones we have seen here before.
Toured the refuge, then the beach - watched a Reddish Egret dance and dance as it hunted for food. They are spectacular dancers - long legs, jumping and floating along in the air just above the water..a joy to watch.
Still on my list are a Green Heron and an Alligator - perhaps tomorrow..

A couple of sunrise photos,,

First thing into the refuge I found these Great Egrets hanging out in the top of the trees!

A Tricolored Heron stuck away in the bushes..

Lots of Yellow-crowned Night Herons around today..

The white pelicans are much bigger than the brown ones..hadn't realized the difference.

The dancer - reddish egret

A couple of sunset photos..
