Sanibel Day 2

A cool start to a very beautiful day - visited Ding Darling WMA in the morning and spent much of the rest of the day on the beach. Warm on the beach!
Not a lot of birds at Ding this morning; ibis and snowy egrets were the largest groups. Quite a number of Yellow-crowned Night Herons showed themselves, along with Tri-Color Herons and Reddish Egrets. After a while a few Roseate Spoonbills showed up to brighten up the scenery. They stay a long ways away when not in their normal spots.
Sunrise this morning was pretty and a couple of Osprey were fishing early and I got one highlighted by the rising sun. While on the beach this afternoon, a dolphin swam by, a snowy egret walked by and multiple Brown Pelicans swam by.  No one bothers them so they come pretty close at times, especially the egret.
Here's what I've photographed so far....

Osprey lit by the rising sun as it hunts close to shore..

Fisherman headed out for a catch..believe that is Marco Island in the skyline..

Yellow-crowned Night Heron..

Anhinga - lots of them sitting in shrubs drying their wings..

Follow the leader - a Snowy Egret follows an Ibis step for step through the muck..

Roseate Spoonbill flyby

Spoonbill sandwiched by a Tricolor and Little Blue Heron.

Reddish Egret - it was in a hurry to go somewhere ....

Brown Pelican in the shallows in Ding Darling - it would see food, run across the water and plop down in the water bill first to catch things.

Little beauty walked along the beach without showing any fear of the goofy looking humans there..

The champion of low level flight always astonishes us with how close it can get to the water but not get wet..

Dolphin off the beach - it stayed about 50 yards ahead of a paddle boarder surfacing occasionally..
