Wide open flats

Murph and I walked out in the flats west of the airport this morning, nice walking as we haven't had rain for a while. Nice to stretch our legs in an unencumbered area. Patterns in the mud were intriguing and challenging - how to capture without growing another 5 feet to get a higher and more comprehensive view!? Going intimate works but doesn't give me the expanse.

Anyway here we go - along with a couple of shots of a rough-legged hawk that was hunting and shrugged off a couple of hits from a kestrel!
