Tulip Time!

Every year I take a lot of photos of tulips and every year I find another way to shoot them. That plus the mutations that occur and the wonderful and wild colors and shapes keep me coming back. At sunrise and sunset, as the sun reflects through the tulips, incredible events occur and need to be captured if possible.

Here's some tulip shots with a brief dialogue about what fun I had:

Shot at 200mm with the new 18 - 300 mm lens - I love the way it blurs the background.

These next two are the same photo with different treatments. While I like the starkness of the top one, the background color and shape in the bottom one provide a counterpoint to the flower that I also find pleasing.
Hey - it's all about what you like, right??
