Often with color photography it is easy to let the colors overshadow any shape or compositional elements; sunsets are a great example of this. Where the color is so brilliant that the photo becomes about the color rather than the elements in the photo. I've done it myself many times!
So I am thinking about this as I approach these flower photos. I want the color to be prominent but not such that it takes away from the rest of the photo.
