Hanging out around Point Arena, California

We're here for a week, vacationing and relaxing. Wandering around Point Arena and Gualala and other spots along the way taking photos and listening to local jazz musicians tonight.
Weather is wonderful - promise of rain tomorrow and Monday but who knows, right?! Trips to Fort Bragg, Mendocino and Anderson Valley are on our plan - perhaps some parks and walks along the headlands to look for whales.
Whatever we do - we're on vacation!  The new house is getting painted inside and the driveway concrete is being repaired while we are playing - Yippee!

Some shots from today::

Morning light looking east.

Classic fence found in the area.

Lovely, luscious flowers just waiting to be captured!

Sign on Point Arena Wharf!

Kelp and jellyfish and slicks on water make an interesting design.

A bad day surfing is always better than a good day at the office.

Eucalyptus leaves color in the dark woods.

The next three are from the Chapel at Sea Ranch - a small and unique chapel that reminds me of a Gnome's house!

Stopped by to say hello - eyeball looks cubic!

Inside the fountain at the chapel - slow drips...

Sea lions doing what sea lions do during low tide!

GBH and his shadow.

Seathrift lit by setting sun.

Point Arena lighthouse and windblown tree.

Just couldn't resist..
