Murphy and I traveled over to Horseshoe Springs in Skull Valley yesterday since it was going to be a hot day and I wanted some water nearby for him. I hoped for some bird action, perhaps Avocets, Stilts and maybe even a Curlew. Avocets were there but none of the others although there were some fine-looking ducks enjoying the solitude.
The day started with soft colors in the skies..
Beautiful birds at the springs
This water runs much of the length of the valley.
Lots of dust, wide open views on the other side of the road from Horseshoe Springs.
My truck disappears in the vastness of the hills.
Grasshoppers are here - lots of them!
Looking North you can normally see the Magnesium Plant and the mountains by it - too much dust yesterday.
