Patience

Today's visit was about patience, in several ways. First there were way too many people out on the dike - looking for eagles and there weren't any readily visible (black spots on the ice don't count). Secondly someone got stuck and we had to push him out. Thirdly, I just sat and watched these hawks to see what they would do - I'm bored with just sitting photos for the most part.

The Mallards are back in resplendent breeding colors. Not too many but they stand out beautifully.
The Northern flicker drinking is beautiful.
The female pheasant has great beauty in her own way.
And the hawks - what can I say except I am glad I don't have those size fingernails to scratch my head!

Hey, wait for me!
