Smoky day on Antelope Island..

Forecast was for 105 so Randy and I left about 6:30..beat the heat and all that. While we got some good photos, there were long barren stretches. Looks like all the buffalo are in the southeast corner of the island and the antelope are moving in that direction.

No confirmed coyote sightings, although one suspect. We found a new Burrowing Owl burrow not far from the old and still used burrow. Photographed a young owl peeking up from the ground and a jackrabbit hiding in the grass.

The best fun  was on our way out when we encountered a pair of Antelope kids out for a jaunt with their parents. What a pair of cuties!!

Here's ones I liked....

Adult Burrowing Owl...

Juvenile Burrowing Owl..

Classic - if I can't see you then you can't see me...

A Red Dog - young buffalo..

Buffalo had lots to eat..

Have to have a photo of a singing meadowlark when you go to Antelope..

Now the cool stuff..First the parents....

Then the kids...

Then the family....

Finally the Lonely Bull once again..
