Refuge Thursday

Sandhill Crane day at the refuge!!  I saw three pair with more heard in the distance! What a treat. The first ones were just inside the gate to the left, showing little evidence of worry when cars stopped.
Here's the ones I liked from yesterday...

These two were about 30 feet from me when they heard another couple calling. They listened and as soon as the others were done, they started calling back.  This went on for about 7 minutes.  What an otherworldly experience!!
