Midday on Wednesday

Took a drive down to Yachats today, wandered around the Devils Churn and then had lunch at a local joint.  Then a trip to Earthwork Gallery on the edge of town - what a wonderful treat. Glass, ceramics, artful creations, wood...almost need to buy another house to just put art into it! So we got a couple of small things for presents for ourselves and others.
Back for a nice nap and then down to see if the sunset will work.
Here's some of what we saw today..

As soon as we stopped at Seal Rock this guy flew up and was waiting for his handout - which he didn't get!

Bright purple in the midst of the greenery

These little crabs were fascinating - not like something I had seen before..

Of course the attachments to the rocks at the tide pools made for neat photos..

The beach was smooth and welcoming, especially after the rough basaltic rock of the tide pools.
