Another bird day at the wildlife refuge

A funny but somewhat smoggy day today but early enough that the smog hadn't obliterated the details Murphy and I had a banner day at the refuge. Amazing when I think that I was only there for about 3 hours and took over 900 photos. Only 136 are left after screening and of those about 10 maybe will see light!

Here's the fun today:

The female landed and finally drove the male off this branch!  Great sequence.

Northern Harrier with a Pied Bill Grebe.

GBH

Kestrel with lunch.

Great Blue Herons were having a good day there.
