Cold and clear at the refuge Tuesday. Minimal traffic - both people and birds. The Harriers are coming out more and I saw a male-female couple doing their mating dance. A couple of eagles showed up plus a Kestrel. I heard Tundra swans in the distance - they are talkers and loud!
Here's the ones I liked..
This eagle sits in the same tree on the same branch for my last 3 visits...
Baldies on ice..
The watcher - female harrier..
Incoming....if you sit still and don’t try to follow the Harriers in your vehicle, they will often circle around and come back to you..
A 3 or 4 year old eagle, just coming into its white feathers..
Of course, the cutest of them all - American kestrel..
