A number of varied subjects were available yesterday so I took advantage of them. All except the first one are from our lot.
So much beauty and so little time to capture these moments! Remember that you can see a larger view by clicking on the photo.

Good memories!
Although I wasn't around to play with a '32 coupe I was around for the very fast Camaro's. Good memories yesterday at a gathering in Sandy.

Swainson's Hawk
Katy saw this guy over on Hwy 36 on her way out here and I had to go see if I could find him. He and she are making a nest right in the middle of civilization and sure enough, he was hanging around. A beautiful being.

Backyard view - looking west to the Stansbury mountains!
The Stansbury mountains provide much drama and theater for us as we enjoy the setting sun, quietness and the light.

Avocets
Avocets have been back for about 2 weeks so I wandered out to Timpie Springs and sat behind a bush to see what might happen. Sure enough, one of them got curious and slowly approached the bush checking me out, standing on 'tiptoes' to peek through the bush at me. Cute!
A large goose egg blown up on the edge of the pond, more desert rain showers and just open land with sun and clouds completed the day!
Peek-a-boo!
Oh, oh - better move out!
Desert rain - love to watch it change!

Erda Moments of Beauty
Spring brings lots of opportunities to admire the beauty of nature and I got to capture a few ofd them. Here's some of the stuff that keeps me going!
Ladybugs on the plum tree - aphids congregate on the plum tree in the spring so the ladybugs are getting ready!
The orange-headed blackbird seems to be an offshoot of the yellow-headed group.
Desert Rain!
Our first rainbow, pointed out to me by the kids next door playing on the trampoline!

A few more Homestead shots
Lots to see and play with at the Homestead - here's a few shots from the last afternoon.
Mystery!
Lured this big boy to the surface with some goose poop to get a shot!
Beautiful!

Fishy stuff.
The Homestead has a couple of ponds with a lot of fish in one pond and one or two big guys in the second. With the water colored by the calcium carbonate the fish look a bit surreal in these photos.

Hanging at the Homestead
For our anniversary we are spending the weekend at The Homestead in Heber Valley, a old favorite of ours. I walked the grounds a bit before dinner and here's a few of my captures...
A moth I believe - they hung around in the sun for us.
I cannot resist purple flowers.
The muskrat was not too worried about me as he went about his business in the pond outside the dining room.
Geese - Not sure they are a couple tho'.
Small waterfall at 0.5 second shutter speed.
