Refuge MOnday

A short but rejuvenating trip to the refuge, not a lot going on there. Kestrels were the only raptors I saw. A bunch of yellow-headed blackbirds and redwing blackbirds, a couple of herons and of course, numerous geese! And a bunch of snowy egrets.

Lots of fluff in the air..

Cute and confident kestrel..

Snowy egret winging away..

Yellow-headed Blackbird..quite comfortable with me being close.

Quite a number of robins around..usually they don't pose like this one did.

Spotted sandpiper - so small that it is hard to see at a distance..
