While reviewing old photos for a project I am creating I came across this one from our first Ireland trip - and it still makes me laugh!
So much beauty and so little time to capture these moments! Remember that you can see a larger view by clicking on the photo.

Around the house
Today is Diana's birthday - as well as Zachary our godson's. I also learned - due to a postmistress mistake - that Sabrina (about 7 yrs old) who lives down the street has her birthday today! Happy Birthday to all!
Here's a few shots from around the house.

People
I do not post many photos of people - sometimes because I am banned from doing it for certain people! But mostly because I am not certain how people might react to their photo showing up on my blog. But occasionally it feels OK - such as this simple beauty that evokes a variety of feelings.

Ocean stuff
A friend - JJ - sent me this picture from Sea Ranch on the northern coast of California. My longing for the ocean was re-awakened by it; something about the rhythm and forms and light and shapes and ..... Anyway I looked back and found some photos that I liked for today's page.
Thanks JJ!
Wonder if he gets a suntan?!
Nature provides endless shapes and colors for us to work with!

Visualize
being in Hawaii and hanging out at the beach. A good picture for today as we are socked in with clouds and smog and rain.

Subtlety
Letting Murph out the back door yesterday morning and looked up and saw this. Nice dreamlike quality that catches me.

A Day at the Bay
We toured the Farmington Bay Wildlife refuge yesterday morning while it was pretty socked in with fog/smog. It cleared a little after an hour or so and was pretty quiet overall. A few duck hunters trying their luck and a few photographers/bird watchers trying theirs.
The eagles were few and way out on the ice but the GBH's made up for them - I counted 14 overall. Kestrels and Harriers were hunting, generally pretty successfully as you'll see. A nice relaxing morning with minimal traffic.
Wonderful dreamy landscapes
GBH and Bald Eagle on ice.
WTF says the Duck?!
This guy flew from a bush as I was about to take a photo of him, spent about 10 seconds in the air hovering and then bang! got his lunch and brought it to this pole to eat and to be photographed.
